Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to read our menus, check our hours, and order a cake. This page says what we aim for, where we stand, and how to tell us if something is in your way.
What we aim for
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the widely used standard for making a website usable with a keyboard, with a screen reader, and at high zoom, and we are working toward the newer 2.2 AA. This is something we keep working on, not a one-time check.
What is in place today
- The menus, hours, and prices are real text, not pictures of text, so they read cleanly with a screen reader and stay sharp when you zoom in.
- Every photo carries a written description, and a "skip to content" link and visible focus outlines help keyboard users move around.
- The moving hero has a pause button, and the site honors your device's reduced-motion setting.
- The cake order form has labeled fields and plain-language errors, and we check color contrast against the standard.
Where we are still working
A few of the more complex parts of the site are still being refined. If any part is hard to use, that is on us to fix, and we want to know about it.
Tell us, and we will help
If you run into a barrier anywhere on this site, please call us at (508) 457-9630 or email Moonakiscafe@gmail.com. We will help you place your order or find what you need right away, and we will fix the problem.
